The official announcement of this news took place during a launch event led by Piyasvasti Amranand, THAI Chairman of the Plan Administrators, and Serap Ersoy, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkiye to Thailand.

The outbound flight is set to depart from Suvarnabhumi airport at 11.45 pm and will touch down in Istanbul at 6.05 am, local time, on the following day. On the other hand, the inbound flight will leave Istanbul at 4.30 pm and arrive in Bangkok at 5.35 pm the next day.

The introduction of direct flights connecting Bangkok and Istanbul is expected to significantly bolster THAI's connectivity and cargo capacity throughout the Asia-Pacific region, including Africa and beyond. This move is seen as pivotal in enhancing investment opportunities, fostering economic exchanges, and strengthening transport links between Thailand and Turkiye, a key gateway to Eastern Europe.

In an effort to promote this new service, THAI has joined forces with Mastercard to offer discounts to customers who purchase tickets with a Mastercard-branded credit card on thaiairways.com. This promotional offer is valid until the end of the month and covers travel between December 1 and March 31.
