Gen Prayuth launches the event 'Mother, the giver' on occasion of Her Majesty the Queen's birthday

BANGKOK, 10 August 2014 (NNT) –

Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha, chief of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) has launched the event ‘Mother, the giver’ in celebration of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s 82nd birthday anniversary celebrated on 12th August, together with army commanders, the public sector, private sector, and the general public. The event has included an exhibition of the Queen’s biography and her duties which are divided into three parts: medical aid, agricultural programs, and irrigation, with a skills development demonstration for people, and maintenance of natural resources and the environmental. The event continues until 11th August at Aumphorn Garden, Dusit Palace Plaza. On 12th August, the NCPO chief will preside at the candle lighting ceremony to wish Her Majesty a Happy Birthday, at Sanam Luang. The general public is invited to join the event on the day.
