Originally a sleepy fishing village, Hua Hin awakened from its slumber in the 1920's when it was connected to Bangkok by railway line. It soon developed into a popular retreat, frequented also by the Thai Royal family. Hua Hin has seen a lot of development over recent years, but still has very much a relaxed, local flavour.
