Direct flights from Qatar to Phuket from October 26th

Qatar Airways, which currently serves the Doha-Phuket route daily, via a linked service through Kuala Lumpur, will boost services to Thailand with the introduction of non-stop flights to Phuket effective October 26.

In a statement, Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker said the services offered travellers from around the world access to popular tourist destinations, in reduced time, from across its expanding global network.

Qatar Airways said the direct flights to Phuket would operate with an Airbus A330 in a two class-configuration of 24 seats in the business class and 236 in economy.

Qatar Airways started operations in Thailand more than 14 years ago with non-stop flights linking Doha with Bangkok.

The carrier now served the Thai capital three-times-daily and would increase that to four-times-daily from December 16.

Qatar Airways launched its daily flights from Doha to Phuket via Kuala Lumpur in 2010. – Bernama, September 15, 2014.
