Etihad Airways Unveils 10 New Routes including to Krabi and Chiang Mai in Thailand
UAE carrier Etihad Airways has announced its 2025 expansion plans, including new routes to the picturesque destinations of Krabi and Chiang Mai in Thailand. These additions highlight the airline’s focus on connecting travelers to Thailand's tropical southern beaches and cultural northern gems.
The Southeast Asia expansion also features flights to Phnom Penh, Cambodia; Medan, Indonesia; and Hanoi, Vietnam. Additionally, Etihad will connect passengers to Taipei and Hong Kong in East Asia.
Further destinations include Atlanta in the United States, as well as Tunis and Algiers in North Africa, as part of the airline’s ambitious growth strategy.
Antonoaldo Neves, Etihad’s Chief Executive Officer, stated: “This expansion reflects our commitment to listening to our guests. We’ve carefully chosen cities that embody the experiences, adventures, and opportunities that matter to them.”
He added, “This moment is not just about expanding our network; it’s about sharing Abu Dhabi with the world.”
The new routes to Krabi and Chiang Mai, among others, will complement Etihad’s previously announced 2025 destinations, including Prague, Warsaw, and Al Alamein. These additions offer travelers even more opportunities to take advantage of Etihad’s free stopover program, developed in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi. The program allows passengers to enjoy a complimentary hotel stay for one or two nights in Abu Dhabi when booking a stopover.
With over 90 destinations in 50 countries served by a fleet of more than 110 aircraft, 2025 is set to be a landmark year for Etihad Airways.
