Mandarin Oriental Phuket

Phuket Island, Thailand’s premier resort destination will be home to the latest Mandarin Oriental Hotel project.   The hotel chain recently announced plans to open an ultra-deluxe beachfront property on one of the few remaining undeveloped plots of land of Phuket’s west coast, affectionately known as Millionaire’s Mile.

But don’t back your bags yet, it’s not slated to open until 2022.

With 31 hotels and seven condo buildings in 21 countries the Mandarin Group is world renown for their 5-star properties, all with elegant Asian flavors.

Located on 24 acres at Laem Singh Bay the new property will feature only 105 rooms.   This will include 37 luxurious pool villas for the perfect private getaway.

Promised are “panoramic views of the Andaman Sea and the sunset”, crystal clear water and powder white sand beaches for leisurely swims, snorkels and relaxation.

Fine dining, a beach club, and a bar designed to showcase sunsets will be offered to their discriminating guests.

Currently rates for this exclusive resort in Phuket are not available, but for a rough idea:  The nightly rate at the  Riverside Bangkok property can be start AT 16,850 THB (US$510) and suites can run as high as 160,000 THB (US$ 4,875) per night.
